  • white/light blue shirt / polo shirt

  • Blue Stanstead book bag

Optional – royal blue Stanstead zip fleece (Sold at Reception)

Please ensure all uniform is labelled correctly with the child's name and ideally the class they are in.

Reading Books

Children are still able to take schoolbooks home to read. When they are returned, due to Covid-19 guidance, school has to keep returned books separate from others for 72 hours. Therefore, if there is a specific book your child is wishing to read, it might not be possible if that book is in the 72-hour pile. Please record when the children read at home in their reading journals.

PE

We will have P.E on Monday afternoons. Due to COVID 19 guidelines children are expected to come into school wearing a full P.E kit on this day. The school PE kit is a plain white t-shirt or polo shirt, blue/black shorts or jogging bottoms – no leggings please - and plimsolls or trainers. We have a 'no jewellery' policy in P.E lessons, for the children's safety. If your child can’t remove/replace their own earrings, please take them out on PE days.  We are not allowed to cover earrings with plasters, they must be removed.

Water Bottles

Please ensure that the children are bringing clear water in their water bottles. Their bottles sit on their desks during the day so just in case of any spillages, they need to be filled with water. Juice is okay for lunch times.

Staggered start and finish times

Children should be arriving and leaving school at different times depending on the first letter of their surname. See the table below for details.

Snacks

Children can bring in a healthy snack to eat at playtime, this includes fruit, healthy bars etc.  It does not include crisps, chocolate or sweets.

Lunchtimes

Lunch is at 12:00 and is followed by a period of outdoor play weather permitting, supervised by our midday supervisors. As we are a healthy school, please provide your child with a healthy lunchbox if your child is having a packed lunch.

Home time

Please see the above staggered start and finish timetable for dismissal times. If your children are being collected by a different adult on a particular day then the teacher must be informed. Without this, children will not be allowed to leave the school grounds.

Currently, due to COVID 19 guidelines we ask that the children don’t bring in bags and other items from home.  This is to limit the possible spread of the virus.
