Y6 Great Ice Cube Challenge

Year 6 enjoyed their ice cube experiment.

Year 6 have been investigating and researching Ernest Shackleton and his expedition. The children were investigating if Shackleton and his scientific staff could pick up an ice cube with a piece of string without tying knots. Then we looked at the level of salt that is left behind when glaciers and icebergs form in the winter months in Antarctica, and repeated the experiment using salt as an adhesive.
