Harvest Festival

Harvest Festival 26th October

To celebrate the annual harvest festival children and guardians from Stanstead provided generous donations of food for our local food bank. We would like to thank you all for your bountiful donations.

Children from years 1 – 6 visited our local church to sing songs (Cauliflowers fluffy and the harvest Samba) and say harvest prayers. Everyone at Stanstead showed amazing confidence in performing to all the parents and guardians that attended the harvest service at church.

Throughout school lots of other fantastic activities took place to celebrate the harvest festival. Children in the foundation stage had a special assembly to tell the story of harvest and the reason for giving at this time of year. Rainbows also made vegetable soup using crops that may be picked during the harvest season.

We look forward to celebrating many more harvest festivals in the years to come!
