During our Literacy immersion session, we used the sticks we collected on Welly Wednesday to create another bonfire. We had been reading the story Little Glow and learnt lots of new vocabulary. Using this new language, we had discussions while sitting around our bonfire, listening to the ‘crackling’ sounds, seeing the bright colours of the fireworks, and even ‘toasting’ our marshmallows, bringing the story and our learning to life.
