Published 06/03/25Today, our school was buzzing with excitement as pupils and staff dressed up as their favorite book characters to celebrate World Book Day! From Harry Potter to Matilda, the creativity and enthusiasm of our children were truly heartwarming.
But the fun didn't stop there! We also held a "Reading for Pleasure" session where parents were invited to join their children to read together in the hall. It was a wonderful sight to see parents and pupils sharing their favorite stories and enjoying the magic of reading together.
The day was a fantastic celebration of books and reading, and it reinforced our school's commitment to promoting literacy and a lifelong love of reading. The smiles on the faces of both children and parents were a testament to the power of stories to bring people together.
About World Book Day: World Book Day is an annual event dedicated to celebrating books and reading. It aims to encourage children to explore the pleasures of books and reading by providing them with the opportunity to have a book of their own.

Published 02/05/24On Sunday 28th April, Mrs Smith our fabulous Headteacher took part in a fundraising skydive at Langar Air Field to raise money PASIC- Cancer support for children & young people.
She has raised an amazing £1275!!.
