The background of Extended Schools is set out in this document and details the history and background of the Extended Schools Government Agenda.

Who and What is BigTop Extended Schools??

In May 2008 Top Valley and Big Wood Extended Schools clusters merged to become BigTop Extended Schools.
BigTop Extended Schools consists of the 9 schools within the area (Big Wood, Glade Hill, Robin Hood, Rise Park, Southglade, Stanstead, Top Valley, Warren and Westglade).
We work with : Area 1 & 2 Neighbourhood Management, Bestwood Directions, BigTop EIP, Early Years, Health, Southglade and Ken Martin Leisure Centres, Sure Start (Southglade and Bestwood & Top Valley), Play, The Academy, Totsworld and Angels By Day Nurseries and Youth
Meetings are held on a monthly basis to ensure that every family within the area is able to access the full Core Offer of the Extended Schools Government Agenda (refer to document below)
Local services, events and activities are organised directly by the school, or in partnership with private or voluntary sector providers or extended schools to ensure that there is a range of services to meet the needs of children, families and the local community.
